Analee David Baker, 91, died Saturday November 21 2009 in a nursing home in Mission, Texas. She was born February 23, 1918 in Robstown Texas, the oldest daughter of Lewie Terrel and Dovie Griffin David. Analee was preceded in death by her husband of almost 58 years John Sherman Baker, Jr. whom she married June 20, 1938 and two brothers, Cecil A. David and Benny Lyle David. She is survived by her two sons, David Sherman Baker and John Lee Baker of McAllen Texas, one brother L.T. David of Robstown, one sister Frances David Clark of Corpus Christi, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Analee grew up in Robstown, but lived most of her adult life in the McAllen area. She worked for the local school district until retirement, loved to grow flowers and never met a stranger. Analee was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
