Jeffery H. Lind, age 54, made his celestial departure from this life into eternal life on Monday, June 17, 2013. He lost his hard fought battle with cancer. Jeff was born on July 22, 1958 to Paul and Eleanore in Battle Creek, MI. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1977. He was an auto mechanic and then went on to be a Union Carpenter. Working with wood was his passion. Just the smell of the wood was enough for him. Later, he became an OTR truck driver and finally ended up at Denso Manufacturing. He was proud of his work at Denso, and had many friends. After his diagnosis with cancer, his friends were very generous, kind and supportive to Jeff.
Jeff was an avid Tiger's Baseball fan, he rarely missed a game. He enjoyed coin collecting and using his medal detector. He was always optimistic about what he would find. The largest amount he found was $1.82 on the beach at the Sand Dunes. He never gave up, always looking for new places to explore.
He is survived by his fiancé, children, Angie, Chelsea, and Sean; father, Paul Lind of Florida; brothers, Dean (Sharon) Lind, Mark (Marsha) Lind all of Florida; niece, Diedre Lind of Florida; Leanora Glyshaw of Battle Creek; all his friends at "the office" where he spent over 30 years enjoying their company. Jeff was preceded in death by his loving mother, Eleanor. Jeff's spirit of life, his sense of humor, story-telling and hard work ethics will be truly missed.
