William Frederick Baker, who had been a resident of Aultsville for more than half a century, died on Sunday, January 26 [1941].

He was born June 18, 1866 at Nudell Bush, Dundas County, a son of the late John E. Baker and his wife, Margaret Weaver.

He married Ida Belle Goold on November 18, 1890, and he and Ida Belle celebrated their Golden Anniversary last November.

Left to mourn his loss are his widow, Ida Belle, two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Gogo, Toronto, and Mrs. Lloyd Marcellus (Sarah), Farran's Point.

His only son, Harris, died 14 years ago.

He also leaves ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three brothers, Charles and Clarence of Aultsville and Leslie of Morgan, Minnesota.

Mr. Baker had been in good health for several years. He was a kindly man, a good neighbor. and held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends.

The funeral was held Tuesday January 28, from his residence to Trinity United Church, Aultsville. The service was conducted by the minister, Rev. H. S. Belbin, and an appropriate solo was rendered by Lawrence Morgan. Pall bearers were Wesley Robertson, Irwin Beckstead, Wm. Crites, George Dillabough, Charles Hanes and Carl Wells. Interment was made in the United Church cemetery, Aultsville.
