Carmel was born in La Conception, Quebec to Emile Piche and Yvonne (Constantineau) Piche. He died at Kingston General Hospital in his 41st. year after undergoing surgery for a brain tumor.
Raised and educated in Quebec.
Carmel was a leather-clad,long haired, french speaking biker when he first rode into Brockville, Ontario.APPEARANCES REALLY CAN BE DECIEVING. A gentler man few people will meet.
He could speak very little English but still managed to get a job as a tree-cutter for 'Bob Fox Tree Service'.
He met and fell in love with Beatrice Donnelly.
Carmel picked up the English language quite readily and bought a small barber shop he made into cozy living quarters with money his Dad loaned him. Beatrice shared the dwelling with him but they wouldn't marry just yet.
Soon Carmel started his own tree service business and it was very successful.Occasionally a mother squirrel would abandon her babies in a tree Carmel was hired to cut down. Whenever this happened Carmel would bring them home and raise them until they were mature enough to be set free. He was so loving and gentle with those squirrels that climbed all over him that you'd have a time holding back the tears just watching them.
Carmel & Beatrice married in 1976 after she converted to his Catholic faith. They never had children of their own but they sure welcomed everyone elses.
A keen sportsman, Carmel enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and archery and was a member of the Highland Golf Club.
Survived by his two devoted Black Labradors, loving wife, cherished parents, 8 brothers, 6 sisters, mother-in-law, Clara Donnelly, brother's in law: Cyril & Merle Donnelly, Wayne Kelly, Leo Hanes, Jim MacMaster, sister's in law, Sylvia & (2)Margaret Donnellys, Joan, Barbara, Ruth & Brenda.Several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends as well as his (great pals):two black lab hunting dogs.
