HAMILTON Mary Alexander Bannister, 94, died Sunday at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Richard Cincilla.

She was born in 1915 in Trenton to Richard and Sophie Golej Alexander. Mrs. Bannister was a lifelong Trenton and Hamilton Township resident. Mary retired from the State of New Jersey, Department of Labor and Industry after more than 30 years of service.

She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Helen Thompson, and her former husband, Lt. George John Bannister, NJSP. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and James Peoples; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she was fond of reminding, "If it wasn't for me, none of you would be here," James and Lynnette, David and Carol and John Alexander Peoples, Elizabeth and Steven Czelusniak, Rebecca and Steven Lynn, Beverly and John Janeczek, Dr. Kimberly, R. Joseph and Cherol and J. Peter Cincilla; great-grandchildren, M. Benjamin, Ashley, William, Nathan and Charles Peoples, Olivia and Emily Czelusniak, Aaron, Sean and Sydney Lynn, Aarick and Allexandria Morris Janeczek, Aubrey, Jocelyn and Sophia Cincilla. Also surviving are her brother-in-law, Sydney Thompson; and a nephew and his wife, Barry and Larissa Thompson.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty streets, with Monsignor Edward J. Arnister, Pastor, Divine Mercy parish, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hamilton Township. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and again from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
