Ethel or "Nanny" as most people knew her was born November 9, 1929 in Monks Corner, SC to parents, Frank and Lorean Harrell. She married William Ferguson in 1955 in Fort Sumter, SC. They lived in many places including Guam while William served in the Air Force. They were transferred to Abilene in 1972 where after his retirement they made they're home. She worked as a seamstress for several different companies throughout the years and was a caretaker for many children. She was a faithful Christian and member of Gateway Baptist Church and was always telling people about her "Good Ol Master". She was a loving and dedicated mother who always spent her time taking care of and blessing her family. She loved to work in the yard and was the happiest outside. She was Nanny to the whole neighborhood and loved to take care of everyone. She enjoyed sewing, ironing and sitting on the front porch visiting with the neighbors.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made in Ethel's honor to Gateway Baptist Church in Tuscola or the American Cancer Society.
