Obituary:

Funeral services for Francis Marion Bumgardner, 52, of 2730 Randolph St., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Marshall Street Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Mr. Bumgardner died at 12:30 a.m. Monday at his residence after a sudden illness.

Mr. Bumgardner was a retired carpenter and a lifelong resident of Shreveport. he was a member of Morningside United Methodist Church, Carpenters' Local and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Davis Bumgardner of Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. Lena Bumgardner of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Armond S. Schlehuber of Columbus, Miss., and Carole Ann Bumgardner of Shreveport; four sisters, Mrs. Tom Elkins of Robeline, Mrs. Elizabeth Sistrunk and Mrs. Vollie Brown, both of Shreveport, and Mrs. Louis Bass of New Orleans; and three brothers, John K. Bumgardner of Baton Rouge, Fred A. Bumgardner of Maco, Ga., and James E. Bumgardner of Natchitoches.

Officiating for the services will be the Rev. Garland Dean, pastor of Morningside United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
