Henry was the eldest child of Francis Marion Manlove and Lucy J. Lear.
He can be found in the July 4, 1870 U.S. Census in Grant County, Indiana, at the age of 5.
In the 1880 Census, he is living at the same place, and has three younger sisters. Also living with them are his mother's brother Andrew Jackson Lear, and his grandmother, Sarah Howard Lear.
Henry moved to Missouri, and was married there about 1889. He was the father of two boys:
Charles Heroll and Francis Marion Manlove, born 1890 and 1893 in Missouri.
Henry's wife died some time before 1900.
Henry has not yet been found in the 1900 Census, but his two sons were living in Oklahoma with his parents.
The 1910 Census shows Henry (Widower) and his son Francis living in a boarding house in Kiowa, Kansas, and working for a railroad.
No further record of Henry has been located, and the time and place of his death are not known.
