Pat served his country in the Army and his community as a Ham Radio Operator. He worked for Stry-Lenkoff for 44 years, where he invented a process of applying invisible ink to books and later a pen cap for the invisible ink pen that couldn't be swallowed by a child. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Preceding Pat in death were his parents, Walter and Dorothy Monarch Garry; and his twin sister, who died at birth.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; daughter, Kathy Stewart (Robert); son, Glenn Garry (Alexandra); grandchildren, David Jourden (Sarah), Chris Jourden, Michael Jourden, Caden Garry and Zachary Garry; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis of Assisi, 1960 Bardstown Road, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hosparus or to the St. Francis of Assisi School.
