The sad news reached Mr. and Mrs. Norris Banks on Thursday of the accidental drowning of their oldest son, Willis who was visiting relatives in Mass. The family has our deepest sympathy.

On the 28th ult the body of Willis Banks, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Norris Banks arrived home accompanied by Mr. Hallet Banks of Worcester, Mass. The funeral was conducted the following day. The church was filled with friends and relatives of the deceased who met to show their respect and deepest sympathy for the bereaved family. The services were conducted by Rev. J.
Appleby and Rev. J.A. Swetnam. The floral offerings were beautiful, the church was tastefully decorated by friends of the sorrowing family with white draperies and potted plants about the alter. A male choir conducted by
Rex Harlow made very appropriate selections and was nicely rendered. Rev. Appleby spoke very comforting words from Isa. 40-29, "He giveth power to the faint and to them that have no might he increaseth strength", after which Rev. Swetnam gave a short address emphasizing the need of a closer walk with God. After the burial services in the beautiful cemetery adjoining the
church property the B.Y.P.U. (of which he was a member) also other friends marched around his last resting place and dropped a white rose on the
casket. Thus in the bloom of manhood only 19 yrs. old, one who will always be remembered as quiet in manner and of a cheerful disposition with a smile for everyone
Passed out of the shadow
Into eternal day
Why do we call it dying
This sweet going away?
