John Banks Barteaux -

Following an illness of about a year's duration, John Banks Barteaux died on Wednesday, April 3rd. at his home in Torbrook Mines. He was seventy-two
years old, and was a son of the late Samuel W. Barteaux and Sarah Anne (Banks) Barteaux. Surviving are his wife, who was formerly Annie MacMaster of Rockville Notch, Kings Co.; also three sons and one daughter. They are: Samuel Barteaux of Wilmot, Malby Barteaux of Moncton, N.B., Kenneth Barteaux at home, and a daughter, Helen (Mrs. Mark Neily) also living at Torbrook
Mines. The funeral took place Friday afternoon from the little United Church at Torbrook Mines with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. L.B. Wright was the officiating clergyman.

Note: According to marriage records and her obituary, his wife was Annie Maria Crocker, not MacMaster.
