The death of William Henry Buddle occurred at the home of his daughter Mrs. L.H. Phinney at Wilmot, Monday, Aug. 17th at the age of eighty-five after a short illness.
Born at Truro, Cornwall County, England, he with his wife and two children
came to Canada to live, nearly sixty years ago. He was well known as a
miner and prospector, and was a member of the United Church.
Predeceased by his wife eleven years ago; he is survived by four daughters,
Mrs. W.H. Banks, Mrs. C.J. Bartlett of Framingham, Mass.; Mrs. G.W.
McGraw of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, and Mrs. L.H. Phinney of Wilmot, N.S.,
and a sister, Miss Jane Buddle in England.
The funeral service was held from the Union Church at Wilmot, Thursday,
August 20th, conducted by Rev. J.A. Jardine, minister of the United Church,
Kingston, with burial in Torbrook Mines Cemetery.
