George S. Swisher died at 7 a.m. Sunday at the Turtle Creek Convalescent Centre.
Born Feb. 28, 1913, in Greentown, he was the son of Tence and Susie (Wolf) Swisher. On July 5, 1962, He married Minnie Alice Mote, who survives.
He retired in 1973 from the Cabot Corp., where he had worked as a millwright for 30 years. He was a member of the United Steelworkers local 2158 at Cabot.
Also surviving are three daughters, Miss Eloise Swisher of Logansport, Mrs. Austin (Francine)Guy of Logansport and Mrs. Robert (Evelyn)Hunt of Royal Center; a son, Mearle Swisher of Logansport; three step-daughters, Mrs. Don (Louise) Burget of Kokomo, Mrs. Margie Ann Coy of Windfall, and Mrs. Pete (Mary Lou) Stroud of Longwood, FL; six step-sons, Jack M., James F., William H., Robert A., Jerry E. and David L. Nelson all of Kokomo; a sister, Mrs. Ernest (Dorothy) Peters of Kokomo; a brother, Mearl Swisher of Kokomo; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
