"Death of Mr. Costello: Mr.James Costello and wife left on night's Denver for Wheaton, Kansas., in answer to a telegram that Mr. Costello's father had died there. Mr. Costello was aged 85 and died of old age. Mr. James Costello will be absent about a week."

"James Costello and wife returned yesterday from Kansas, where they went last week to be present at the burial of Mr. Costello's father."

Edmond and Johannah O'Keeffe Costello immigrated to America in 1862 from County Clare, Ireland. They brought with them John Arthur O'Keeffe and his brother Arthur O'Keeffe. John Arthur and Arthur's parents died in the Irish Potato Famine in the 1840's and their names are unknown. John Arthur and Arthur were raised by Edmond and Johannah O'Keeffe Costello.
