Archie Bell was born circa 1823 somewhere in either Georgia or South Carolina.

There is no proof that his name was Archibald. Archie could be a nickname for Arthur or Archer as well, so I have updated this memorial to reflect the facts.

Archie Bell married Susana Grounds prior to 1850 where they are found on the Taylor, Ouachita, Arkansas Census. This Census gives South Carolina as his place of birth, and because Archie was more likely to know his state of birth than his son, I decided to go with South Carolina for his state of birth on this memorial. However, the 1880 Census for Annis Bascum Bell states that his father was born in Georgia.

Annis Bascum Bell was born in Lavaca County, Texas on August 9th of 1855, which places the family there during that time period.

Annis Bascum Bell's obituary states that he has two sisters, Henrietta Bell, born 1853 in Arkansas who married Riley Nelson Condron, and Donna Bell, born 1st November 1859, who married to James Monteville Moore. Donna Bell married 21st December of 1882 in Beltown, Bell County, Texas. Donna is also known as Araminta Doma Bell. Henrietta Bell married on 19th July 1885 in Stephens County, Texas.

It is unknown when and where Archie Bell died and it is currently unknown if he served during the Civil War. Online family trees give his date of death as 25th July 1863 in Lavaca County, Texas, or simply 1863 without documentation. There is an Archibald M. Bell that died on the 17th October of 1863 of typhoid fever at the Campbell General Hospital in Washington D.C. who was a member of the 148th D Company of Pennsylvania Volunteers but there is nothing that ties him to our Archie Bell.

Other online genealogies give his date of birth as 13th January 1824 and his parents as Joseph Robert Bell and Mary Agnes Hopkins but without documentation.
