PREVITI, MARINA A. 94 - of Ventnor, passed away quietly, Sunday evening, March 17, 2013 at the Absecon Manor Nursing Home.
Born and raised in Atlantic City, Marina was employed for many years as a waitress at the Chalfonte-Haddon Hall Hotel. In her off time, she enjoyed cooking and knitting and participating as a volunteer at St. Michaels School PTA and as an active member of the St. Michaels Mary Help of Christians group. Marina also was a member of the Atlantic City Hospital Auxiliary.
Marina is predeceased by her husband Michael; brothers Vincent, Philip and Silvino DiGiacinto and sisters Jenny Tummarello and Carrie Huber.
She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Andrew (Pam) of Absecon and Michael (Roanne) of West Caldwell. She was a loving grandmother to her five grandchildren; Michael (Jill) Previti , Christopher Mossa, Kimberly (Henry) DuBois, Jordan (John) Exadaktilos, and Alexa Previti . She was a doting great-grandmother to Ella, Ava, Michael and Henry. Marina is also survived by her sisters Anna Marie Woods and Josephine DiGiacinto, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for Marina A. Previti 11:30am Thursday, March 21, 2013, at St. Michaels Church, 10 North Mississippi Avenue, Atlantic City. Relatives and friends may call at the Church from 9:000am. The Rite of Committal will be offered at Laurel Memorial Park Cemetery following Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marina's memory may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105-3678 . www.stjude.org.
