Gary enjoyed life to the fullest and spent many years going to a family cabin in Ontario, Canada. He loved to take his kids hunting and fishing. Gary was a member of the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club and volunteered for the St. Vincent de Paul Parish (at the St. Leo's worship site) where he and his wife belonged for 51 years. He coached recreational baseball and would later become the Town of Niagara Recreation Commissioner, where he opened a Rec Center in the old Nevada Avenue school. Gary was also an Exempt Fireman from both the Town of Niagara Active Hose and Lewiston #2 Volunteer Fire Companies.
The true love of his life came to him in marriage on June 27, 1964. Gary married his high school sweetheart, the former Margaret A. Lively, and raised four children. In addition to his loving wife of 49 years he is survived by three sons, Stephen (Sally Gilbert) Guiliani, Christopher (Natalie Scrivani) Guiliani and Gary (Lynn Conrad) Guiliani ; one daughter, Beth (John) Gatto; five grandsons, Stephen, Christopher, Mark, and Joshua Guiliani and Dillon Gatto; five grand-daughters, Ashley (Brad) Smith, Brittany, Melissa, and Rebecca Guiliani and Miranda Gatto and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Connor Mollosky. He is also survived by two brothers, Leon A. (Jean) Guiliani and Michael L. (Jean) Guiliani; one sister, Darlene (late Robert) Brovata and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents , Gary was predeceased by one grandson , Gary John Gatto.
The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and on Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8PM in the Chapel of Otto Redanz Funeral Home, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007). Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 31st at 12:00 noon, which will be celebrated in St. Vincent de Paul Parish, at the St. Leo's Worship Site, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Robert Hugheson serving as celebrant. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. A Police Prayer Service will be held on Thursday evening, during visitation, in the funeral chapel, with Deacon Ben Marino officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Wings Flights of Hope, P.O. Box 872, Orchard Park, NY, 14127, which is an organization dear to the hearts of the Guiliani family as they have greatly assisted them.
