Gladys Humphries
The home of Bro. J.C.C. Humphries has again been visited by the death Angel. On Saturday the 14th instant little Gladys with whom God had blessed this home for about two months was taken almost instantly to that brighter and better life. Although so young, for about a month she had been suffering with indigestion and on the above date about 11 o'clock she was taken with what was supposed to be an acute attack and in a few minutes the little sufferer was relieved by death and the fond father and mother and loved ones stood over her little body with aching hearts but God was their refuge and strength. We commend them to Christ who is the real burden bearer full of sympathy for his people. We buried her on Sunday afternoon the 15th at Troy, S.C. where slept others of the family. G.H.B. Troy, S.C. Nov. 20th 1908.
