Evelyn Bolner (1915-2007)
Evelyn Jean Bolner, 92, of Flatwoods, died Saturday morning at Boyd County Nursing and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.
Jean was born March 3, 1915, and was the mother of Bob Bishop of North Carolina, Vernon Dale Capps of Kentucky, and Raylean Sadler of Huntington.
She enjoyed painting and poetry, playing the piano, gardening, bowling and cooking for her friends and neighbors.
Jean had requested that there be no funeral services, only loving memories.

Born Opal Evelyn Jackson on March 3, 1915, in Black River, Missouri, daughter of William Kimsey Jackson and Ethel Moore, Opal married Rateus D'Vernon Capps and had a son, Vernon Dale Capps. She had a daughter, Shirley Raylene Pyle, in Picher, Oklahoma, with Forrest Ray Pyle. She had a son, Robert Carl Bishop, in Huntington, West Virginia, with Carl Edward Bishop. She married unknown Taylor, then Donald Maxwell Bolner, December 8, 1971, in Wise County, Virginia.
