William Vogel a 50 year member of Eagle Hose Company and a life member of Empire Aerie Fraternal Order of Eagles died here yeserday after a long illness. He had made his home with his daughter Mrs. Thomas S. Leidy of Genung Street entension. Mr. Vogel a resident here for fifty four years, was a retired salesman. He was a member of the United Commerical Travelers, Hoffman Lodge of Masons Midland Chapter, Royal Arch Masons, and Cyprus Commandery, Knights Templar. He was born in Germany May 11, 1869 a son of Mr. & Mrs. Frederick Vogel. He was married in Patterson, New Jersy May 11, 1892 to Anna Widmer who died in 1925. Surviving are 2 daughters Anna M. wife of Thomas S. Leidy and Eleanor E. wife of H. Kenneth Dolson of Middletown, a son William Vogel of Milford, Ct, several grandchildren; one greatgranddaughter and a sister, Mrs. Francis Ritter of Germany. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm at the Burnett Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul E. Henry pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church will offficiate.
