MONTROSE - Ralph Duane Boyer, age 53, beloved husband, father, brother and friend died suddenly on Sunday, July 3, 2005, at his Montrose home.
Born in Montrose, Colo., on Jan. 3, 1952, to Dale and Eva Boyer, Ralph was the youngest of six children.
After attending Montrose schools, he married his childhood sweetheart, Antonette "Toni," and remained in the community raising their son, John Dale, and working as a hard rock miner in Ouray.He may be best remembered as the owner of Western Slope Satellite, serving countless clients statewide for over 17 years.
Ralph's greatest loves were his family and generously helping others. His pride in his home and community were evidenced by his hard work. Hunting, fishing and sharing the Colorado outdoors with family and friends filled his free time.
Ralph's generous spirit will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Antonette "Toni," and his son, John Dale; two brothers: Paul, of Glenwood Springs; Donald, of Basalt; two sisters: Lois Ecklund, of Ithaca, N.Y.; Barbara Jay Bullard, of Delta; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Donette, and a sister, Cheryll.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at the Bullard home, 247 Dodge Street, Delta, on Saturday, July 9. We encourage all friends and family to attend. Light refreshments will follow.
