Beniah N. White was the original patentee that the White Cemetery is located on. Thomas was another patentee of land in section 20. Henry County marriage records show that a Thomas M. Cavitt married a Margarett White in Oct 9, 1856. It is believed that Thomas died young because it appears that one of his children might have been living in the household of Mary E. Thompson White in the 1880 census, Lilly M. Cavitt, 11, adopted. Ten years before, Thomas had a daughter enumerated in the 1870 census named Lilla M., age 1. On the 1870 census, Thomas's wife is listed as Elizabeth, therefore probably meaning his first wife died at an early age too. Also this might make Elizabeth the mother to Lilly/Lilla, rather than Margarett.
