Leeky Elvira Corn was the daughter of Frank Corn and Lula Hinnard, who show on the 1860 census of Upper Cove, Walker County, Georgia. The Corns had moved to that region from Henderson Co., NC about 1854. She married William Fuller Bailey 1867 in Walker Co., GA. They were living in neighboring Catoosa Co., GA in 1870:

By 1888, the Bailey family returned to Indian Territory and Fort Smith, Arkansas. A dau. Effie Marie Bailey was born 1888 in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) and a son, William F. Bailey, Jr. was born 1889 at Fort Smith, Arkansas. Another dau., Lula Bailey was b. 1891 at Fort Smith, AR.
In 1897, William F. Bailey died at Fort Smith. He is bur. at the City Cemetery (Oak Cem.) with several other family members.
Leeky E. Bailey remarried to John E. McLean, who served as the Clerk of the Court for Sebastian Co., AR. Several of Wm F. and Leeky Bailey's children married during this time period:
William "Woodie" Bailey mar. Dovie Hood, 29 Sept 1888, Sebastian Co., AR. She was dau. of Jack and Mollie Hood. In 1900, they show in Fort Smith with children: Luna 8/AR, Dolores 4/TX, Katherine 1/AR. It appears from the birth place reported for Dolores Bailey, that this Bailey family moved to Texas abt 1896, then back to AR.

In 1913, Wm F. Bailey, Jr. mar. Elsie (Sunny) Villepigue, dau. of John Bordaman Villepigue and Jana Katy Street. They had a son, Thomas Street Bailey, b. 1913.
In 1919, Dolores Evelyn Bailey mar. Clarence Lloyd Midcap at Christ Church, Houston, TX.
Wm F. Bailey, Jr., above, was a professional baseball player who pitched, 1907-22, for the St. Louis Browns, Baltimore Terrapins, Chicago Whales, Detroit Tigers, and St. Louis Cardinals.
He had a cousin, Whitlow Wyatt, who also pitched for the Brooklyn Dodgers, famously striking out Joe DiMaggio twice in the 1941 World Series.
Wm F. Bailey, Jr. died 1926 of an ruptured blood vessel in his stomach. The informant on his death certificate was his mother, Mrs. L.E. Mclean (shows as McClain). His mother died ten years later, 5 July 1936. Both are buried in the same family plot at Forest Park Cem. in Houston. W.F. Bailey, Jr.'s widow, Sunny Bailey and their son, Thomas Street Bailey, show in 1930 Dallas, TX. She remarried to Daniel Ruggles. She died June, 1954 and is bur. Mt. Olivet Cem., Dallas, TX, Lot 117, Sec. 22, next to her mother, Mrs. Katie (Street) Villepigue Savage.
