Raymond F. Baker, 82, of 111 Whedon Road died Monday at his home. A native of Oswego, Mr. Baker lived in the Syracuse area since the late 1920s, when he began employment with Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. He became a dairy farmer in Otisco in 1944 and sold his farm in 1956. He retired in 1968 from Crouse-Hinds Co. Surviving are his wife, the former Verna Orser; two sons, Raymond of North Carolina and Peter of Elbridge; a daughter, Mar)' Ann Capoae of LaFayette; a brother, Thomas of Oswego; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home, LaFayette, the Rev. Karl Esmark officiating. Burial will be in LaFayette Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 6033 Cherry Valley Road. Contributions may be made to the James V. Capone Memorial
Scholarship Fund, in care of LaFayette High School.
