65, of Fayetteville, died at the Chambersburg Hospital after an illness of six months.

Born in Dunffield, Sept. 21, 1886, he was son of the late Lewis T. and Hannah A. (Wingert) Asherman.
A graduate of Shippensburg State Normal School, he attended Bucknell University and taught for four years. For a time, he engaged in farming and was partner in the former Fayetteville Lumber and Planing Mill Co. In 19231-1923 was also a salesman for a chemical company.
Since 1940, he was a partner in Ausherman Bros. Real Estate Co.
He was a member of the Fayetteville United Brethren Church and Caledonia Lions Club.

Survivors include: son John D. of Fayetteville; 6 sisters Mary Byers, Waynesboro; Mrs. Adam Knepper of R.R.1; Mrs. John Gutshall, Allentown; Mrs. Owen Long, Lacy Springs, Va.; Mrs. Charles Sollenberger, Woodstock, Va; Helen Taylor, Seabring, Fl.
3 brothers; Noah of 126 N. Main St.; Lewis T. of Fayetteville; Harry A. of R.R.6 and 2 grandchildren.

Service will be Thursday afternoon at Sellers Funeral Home with the Rev Joseph H. Schmitt officiating. Burial is in Norland cemetery.
