Silas Cook, 62, Evarts, died June 25, 2001, at his residence.
Cook was disabled and a member of the Free Worship Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Cook; and three brothers, Virgil Cook, Junior Cook and George Cook.
Survivors include his mother, Amanda Blevins Cook; one brother, Loyd Cook, Jones Creek; three sisters, Judy and husband James Fultz, Pennington Gap, Va.; Ruby and R.C. Stapleton, Pennington Gap, Va.; Sarah Jenkins, Evarts; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation is today from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral at Treblo Church of God in Evarts.
Funeral services will be conducted at the church today at 1 p.m. with burial to follow in the Pennington Memorial Cemetery in Pennington Gap, Va. The reverends R.C. Stapleton, Danny Parsons and Woodrow Fields will be officiating.
Pallbearers are Wade Cupp, Anthony Cupp, Terry Jenkins, Justin Cupp, Tony Cook and Randy Jenkins.
Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
