Homer Ray Knisley, 66, of 147 Washington St. , died suddenly at Greene Memorial Hospital Thursday. A native of Adams County, he was born Feb. 16 ,1913, the son of Carey and Margaret Leath Knisley. He was a retired employee of the PDI Plastics Corp.
Surviving are his widow, Phyllis; five daughters, Phyllis Earles, Leona Cawthorn, and Georgiana Suttles, all of Springfield, Nancy Stewart of Xenia and Norma Wright of New Carlisle; three stepchildren, William Dillow and Barbara Claypool of Springfield and Dorothy Waller of Pensacola, Fla; two sisters, Dorothy Brown and Norma Phipps of Springfield; 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held at the Ingling-Williams Funeral Home, South Charleston, Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Cecil McCarty and Rev. William Trubee.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, South Charleston.
