Henrietta Cunningham was the oldest child of Stephen Cunningham and Mary Ann Valentine. The family was originally in Pennsylvania but were in the Wilmington, DE area later.

Mrs. Henrietta Abernathy passed away yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Mercy Hospital [Davenport, IA] after a several months' illness. She was removed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon from her home, 501 West Second Street [Davenport, IA], in a very low condition and death followed shortly after. Deceased came to Davenport with her family from Pennsylvania some time ago. Surviving are her husband, R.J. Abernathy of Kansas City, Mo., a son R.L. Abernathy of Davenport, and a daughter, Mrs. Adolph Pederson of Aurora, Ill. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from Halligan's undertaking parlors. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Moline
