Prayers were said in the home, followed by a mass Feb. 20 at St. Martin's Church, Langford, for John N. Schreiner of North Collins who died Feb. 16 in his 83rd year. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Schreiner owned a monument works in Langford for 58 years and was a trustee of St. Martin's Church for 35 years. He was the husband of Mrs. Anna Weber Schreiner and the father of Francis and Mrs. Marion Kern. He was the brother of William and Matthew of Hamburg, Michael of St. Louis MO., Mrs. Elizabeth Ballard and Mrs. Mary Eder of North Collins and the late John and Peter Schreiner. He is also survivied by four grandchildren.

Born in Temmels on der Moselle, Prussia(Germany).
A a small vineyard town on the Mosel river across from Luxembourg. He emmigrated to the U.S. with his family at the age of 17 in 1893.
Founded John N. Schreiner Memorials in 1902. Servicing all of Western New York, John N. Schreiner Memorials was at the time, the largest supplier of granite and marble products. Grave stones were their forte, but anything of granite or marble could be crafted by these artisans.

St. Mary's Church in New Oregon, NY
