Myrtle Evans was born in March, 1896 to May Caroline Brooks Evans (1875-1964) and James Frank Evans (1875-1911). She died at the age of eight, on 2 July 1904, of endocarditis, secondary to scarlet fever. Her brother was Frank Lawrence Evans (later changed to Cleveland) (1900-1987). Myrtle was buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, next to the grave where her mother (May Caroline Brooks Evans Cleveland) would be buried 60 years later. No headstone remains where Myrtle is buried.
