Joyce had her master's degree and was a revered teacher in the Bellingham, WA area for over 50 years. Her family, the Gundersons, were mainly teachers. The Gills were a prominent Portland family from England, with a well documented family history.
She died of inoperable CA of the pancreas, just past her 85th Birthday.
