George H. Cook was born February 2, 1855, in Butler County, Ohio, the son of Christopher and Elizabeth Schwab Cook. He married Rosabelle Virginia Flenner on October 16, 1902, in Butler County. She was the daughter of Adam and Amanda Humerick Flenner.
Obituary for George H. Cook from the Hamilton Daily News of Saturday, May 21, 1932:
"George H. Cook, 77, well-known citizen of Butler County, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. James Flenner, of Trenton, Saturday, at 12:35 a.m. His wife preceded him in death last July. The deceased resided in West Chester for many years but when he became ill, he moved to the home of his sister. Besides his sister, he leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the Webb Funeral Home, Monday, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Neal officiating. Interment will be made in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, Sunday afternoon and evening."
