Joann Blevens,
Age 81, life-long resident of Neodesha, died Friday, Oct 9, 2012, in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones.

In lieu of services, the family will hold a rememberance, Tuesday, Oct 23 at 1:30p.m. at the Eagles Club of Neodesha.
Joann was born Sept 26, 1931, in Altoona,Kansas, to Clifford and Nellie Depuy. After graduating from high school she attended cosmotology school, surbsequently becoming a becoming a liscensed beautician in 1962. She owned and operated Joann's Beauty Shop on 3rd Street for over 45 years.During that time she served numerous loyal and truly devoted clients within the Neodesha community.

Joann also served her beloved city through the local F.O.A. She was honorary lifetime member of the Twin Rivers Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3448 where she held positions such as Madam President and Membership Chairwoman. She was bestowed the F.O.E.

Mother of the Year title several years throughout the duratin of her philanthropic service with the club.Joan was also a member of the local VFW ladies Auxiliary 5962.

She was a league bowler whose team held the state champion title several years running.Joann was a talented artist, bird watching enthusiast and avid supporter of the W.A.Rankin Memorial Library in Neodesha.

Joann was surived by her three children. Jerry and Robin Blevens of Neosho,Mo, Mike and Deah Blevens of Neodesha and Toni and Mark Wescott of Fredonia: six grandchildren: and 14 Great grandchildren.

Joann is preceeded in death by her parents; three sibling: and husband , Bill blevens: as her beloved cocktoo Cassie, who was her lifelong companion.

Joann was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend and was deeply cherised by all who loved her.

Memorial contribution may be made to: W.A.Rankin Memorial Library or Hospice Care of Kansasso that Joann may Continue to serve others even in her death.

She will be missed but never forgotten. 
Cremated, Ashes given to family or friend.
