Charles E. "Ted" Belles, 72, of 1048 Orr Ave., Kittanning, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Allegheny Valley Hospital.
Born Nov. 4, 1904 in West Kittanning, he was the son of the late Frank and Ella (Flenner) Belles.
Belles was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Kittanning, and was a retired truck driver for Montgomery Wars. He also had been employed at Teetsworth Bakery, Kittanning.
Survivors include: his wife, the former Marian Donaldson; six daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Patty) McCullough and Mrs. Robert (Mary Ann) Edwards, both of Kittanning, Mrs. Dale (Sandy) Myers of Vandergrift RD 2, Mrs. John (Cathy) Vargo of Ford City, and Janice and Bonnie, both at home; five sons, Charles E. Jr. of Lodi, Ohio, Terry of Kittanning RD 2, Ted of West Kittanning and William C. of Kittanning RD 1; a brother, Jack of Cleveland, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Marybelle) George of Canonsburg, Mrs. Harry (Alice) Densmore of West Kittanning, Mrs. James (Gladys) Barnett of Kittanning RD 1, Mrs. Walter (Elizabeth) Kammerdiener of Kittanning, and Mrs. Joseph (Doris) Wyant of Kittanning RD 3; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
BELLES - Friends of Charles E. "Ted" Belles, who died Oct. 1,1977, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, Kittanning. Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Douglas M. Kierstead, pastor of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. Arrangements by Snyder of Kittanning.
