A native of Owenton, KY, he was the son of the late Lockford Gene and Catherine Dickerson Allen. He was a retired Tech Sgt. of the United States Air Force, a member of the Disabled American Veterans Post #12, Little Rock Christian Church and a avid car restorer.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Tristal and Dena Allen of Newark, OH; three grandchildren, Gracie Torez of San Antonio, TX, Taylor Buchanon of Newark, OH and Madison Dakota Allen of Newark, OH; one brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Diana Allen of Carlisle, KY; one sister, Betty Allen of Paris, KY; special niece, Christina Curtis of Paris, KY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, David Charles Allen and one brother, Robert Allen.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday November 19, 2012 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris by Rex Graham. Burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM Monday November 19, 2012 at the funeral home until the hour of service.
