Beloved son of Melville and Marion Finlayson of Elmhurst, Illinois. Cherished brother of Marnie, Duncan, Jane Constance, Helen Estelle, Nancy, James (Donald), Dorothy, Margaret and Charlotte Patricia (Patsy) Finlayson.
Loving husband of Margaret J. "Peg" Gudgeon Cooper and devoted father to Lynn and Lori, as well as many grandchildren. Doug and Peg married on October 19, 1963 at St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Chicago.
Doug was a Veteran of WWII in the US Army Air Force Corps. Doug's name is engraved on the War Memorial in Wilder Park in Elmhurst.
