Vina "Flavia" was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, step-mother, mother and grandmother. She loved with all her heart and worked tirelessly with her hands, sewing and cooking at a young age until she could no longer do so into her later years. When her father died in her senior year of high school, she took his suits apart and crafted new work clothes for herself, going to work for an attorney in Opelousas, LA. The need to work and help support her younger siblings would endear her forever to her family. The saying "when the going gets tough, the tough get going" rings true for that time in her life. She expanded her horizons when she moved to Texas to work as a secretary, and then met the love of her life at a dance. They were married for 55 years until her death. She was devoted to caring and loving many and is missed by everyone to this day. May you forever be blessed and rest in peace Mother.
