Birth: Nov., 1859
Wayne County
Missouri, USA
Death: Oct. 19, 1922
Clay County
Arkansas, USA

Rio was a son of Stephen Canterberry (born circa 1823 in VA, who served as a Corporal during the Civil War with the 47th MO Infantry, Company A and died during that war) and Susanna(maiden name unknown--born circa 1833 in TN). He had 3 known siblings: Solomon (b. circa 1858 in MO), Minnie (b. circa 1862 in MO), and Ida (b. 1864 in MO).

In 1886, Rio married Elizabeth Summers but I am unsure what happened to her. He then married Amanda Link (my great-great-aunt) on September 14, 1890 in Carter Co., MO and had 6 known children: Charles O. (b. Jan. 1892), Joseph Lee (b. 1895), Francis (son b. Jan. 1900), Jesse (daughter b. circa 1903-04), Ottes Ray (b. 1907), and Luther W. (b. 1911).

The family had moved to Clay County, AR by the 1920 census, so am assuming Rio was buried in AR.
