Born on October 6, 1930 in Willards, MD, he was the son of the late Elmer and Addie (Mitchell) Arvey.
Mr. Arvey worked throughout Maryland and Delaware for many years with Acme Markets as a meat cutter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie (George) Arvey; a grandson, Joshua; three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his children, J. Mitchell Arvey and his wife, Diane, of Kennett Square, PA, David Arvey and his wife, Mellisa, of New Port Richey, FL, Chris Arvey and his wife, Daisy, of Atlanta, GA, Beth Peoples and her husband, Gene, of Chattanooga, TN; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 9:00 am on Wednesday, July 18 at Forest Cemetery in Middletown. At the families' request, memorial contributions can be made to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 100 Commerce Drive, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713.
