BLANKENSHIP, Cathlyn Goolsby, age 90, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away peacefully at Crowne Health Care of Montgomery on Thursday, July 11, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Blankenship, and her daughter, Sharon Blankenship McBee. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Blankenship Moffitt and her sons-in-law, Jerry Moffitt and Steve McBee; step-granddaughter, Reyanna (Chris) Kirby; three great-grandsons, Josh, Caleb, and Jacob; brothers, David E. Goolsby, T. Morris Goolsby, a sister, Mary Sanford, and sister-in-law, Bonnie Goolsby. Cathlyn was a lifelong member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church of Montgomery, AL, and throughout her life, was active in Brownies/Girl Scouts, Keep Montgomery Beautiful, and many civic endeavors. Her Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, from 5-7 PM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, with her. Graveside to follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at 11 AM, with Rev. Glen Pugh officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Moffitt and Steve McBee.
