Doris M. Heumann
December 26, 1932-- November 4, 2013
Doris was born in East Shannon Illinois, to Florence & G. Ray Moll . After a long Illness she went to be with the Lord on Nov. 4th at home surrounded by family. She is survived by her Husband Ray of 53 years. Son Jeffrey and his wife Teri and Grandson Logan of Texas. A daughter Kris & husband David and 6 grandkids, Justin, Jordin, Ashley, Adison, Tina and Keni. of Simi Valley CA. And her brother Kenneth Moll and a sister Phillies Lawson of Shannon Ill.
Doris grew-up on the farm, attended a one room school house for her first few years. After Hi School at 16 in 1949 she went to North Central Collage where in 1953 she graduated with her BA. She then taught 2nd and three grades. In 1957 She and two other teachers wanting to travel and came to California with the thought of teaching here for two-three years. 1959 she meet a young man name Ray. And after dating for a year, on July 10 1960 she and Ray were married in Shannon Ill at her home church. Doris taught school in Downey, CA then after moving to La Crescenta in 1961 she taught at R.D. White in Glendale After their son Jeffrey was born she became a stay at home mom. Two years latter a daughter Christy (Kris) joined the family.
Doris and Ray have been active at First Baptist Church at La Crescenta for 47 years, were Doris was the church historian. The family had a grave side service at Forest Lawn on Monday the 11th. And a memorial service on Sat. the 16th at First Baptist Church were many friend came to remember her. She will be missed by all that loved her. But know she is now well and at home with the Lord.
