Dr. Wilson Coulter Succumbs in Seattle
Dr. H. Wilson Coulter, practicing physician here for the last twenty-nine years, died in a Seattle hospital early Saturday morning. He had been active in his practice up to Monday night.
Dr. Coulter was born in Lewiston, Maine, November 13,1883. He was educated in Lewiston schools and later attained his masters degree in 1902 at the University of Toronto and his MD degree there in 1906. He practiced medicine in Montesano from 1922 to 1924, when he started practicing in Olympia. He office was in the First National Bank building.
Dr. Coulter was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Knights of Pythias in Montesano, besides professional affiliations.
He is survived by the widow, Anna Coulter; an aunt, Martha Ship in Maine, and a cousin Clarence Coulter in Canada.
The funeral service will be held in Mills & Mills chapel Tuesday afternoon starting at one o'clock. The Reverend J. Burton Salter, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, will conduct the service. Entombment will follow in the Tacoma Mausoleum.
The family request that persons wishing to express their condolences do so by making contributions to the Thurston County Humane Society instead of sending flowers. Humane Society contributions should be sent to Carolee Purdy, 1610 Jefferson Street South.
