He was born Jan. 11, 1955, in Bremerton to George and Velda (Bunn) DeMello. He graduated in 1973 from East Bremerton High School.
He enjoyed photo-graphy and skiing.
He was a Christian.
Survivors include two sons, Richard of Juneau, Alaska, and Brian of Bremerton; and a daughter, Christina of Bremerton.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Cremation will take place at Cherry Grove Crematory
