Dr. Jeffrey Alan Grafton, Jr., 46, of Sapulpa went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 15, in Midwest City, OK. He was born December 9, 1968, in Chicago, IL, on Great Lakes Naval Base, the son of Jeffrey Alan and Regina Brooner Grafton.

After the family's move to Oklahoma, Jeff attended school at Sapulpa Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1987. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop #505 and achieved Eagle Scout in 1985-86. During high school he was also a member of the SHS band, under the tutelage of George Brite. In 1985 Jeff and the band traveled to Washington, D.C., where they were to march in the Inaugural Parade at President Reagan's second inauguration. After the parade was cancelled due to inclement weather, the SHS band performed "Oklahoma!" for the President in an indoor ceremony in Maryland.

Jeff was a Marine, serving actively during Kuwait and the Gulf War. He proudly served his country during the Global War on Terrorism. He came home from the war 40% disabled, but his indomitable spirit wouldn't settle for that. He took his talents and sense of duty to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, where he served as a Deputy for five years.

In his early 40s Jeff returned to school. He worked hard and was accepted into pharmacy school. He graduated from Oklahoma University with a Doctorate of Pharmacy a few years later. Until his untimely death, he worked as a pharmacist for United Healthcare.

Jeff was a Baptist by faith and a family man to the very core. He loved being with his family, and he enjoyed history. He took care of those he loved, and they never doubted his love for them.

He is survived by his children, Jonathan Henry Grafton, Emily Faith Grafton, and Megan Elizabeth Grafton; parents, Jeffrey Sr. and Regina Grafton, of the home; siblings, Shannon Price and husband Phillip, Jerry Grafton and wife Pam, and Michael Grafton; he is also survived by his nephews, whom he helped raise as his own, Jesse, Ethan, and Matthew Grafton.

Services were held Thursday, August 20, 2015 and officiated by Rev. Bill Oldham at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa, OK, after which the Tulsa area Patriot Riders escorted the family to a private burial in the family cemetery.
