ROBERT GREER, 79, LONG RESIDENT OF ROSCOE, DIES TODAY
Robert A. Greer, 79, farmer and painter and longtime resident of Roscoe, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ward Randels, Coshocton Route 1, at 1:15 a.m. today. He had been ill four mounts with heart disease.
He was born April 22, 1862, in Jackson township, the son of John and Mary Greer, and was the last of that family. On February 29, 1888 he married Emma M. Schott, who preceded him in death. One daughter survives from this marriage, Mrs. Ward Randles.
In 1914 he married Louise Fortune, who survives. also surviving are a step-son, Robert Fortune of Roscoe, with whom Mr. Greer made his home until four months ago. three grandchildren , one great-grandchild and a number of cousins survive.
Mr. Greer was a lifelong member of the Roscoe M. E. Church.
Friends will be received at the Robert Fortune home in Roscoe after 10 a.m. Wednesday. the body will be taken to the Roscoe Methodist church at 1 p.m. Thursday, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. Paul Olinger. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery.
