Birth: Nov. 28, 1907

Virginia, USA
Death: Apr. 21, 1992

Devoted Christian of the Methodist Faith, Wife of George Edward Stine, Mother of Carolyn Rives, Hettie Susan and Edward Vaughan STINE. Born and raised in Ettrick, Virginia, daughter of Emmett and Hettie Belle RIVES Vaughan, sister of Hettie Catherine, Mary Elizabeth and Robert Rives Vaughan. She married George Edward Stine in 1930 where they resided for a time before moving to the District of Columbia and Maryland where they raised their three children. She was a graceous Southern belle and epitomy of motherhood. We always had fresh-baked pies & cobblers my mother made from the apple tree and grapevine in our back yard. Always fresh vegetables from the back yard garden. She had a beautiful soprano voice that she shared singing with the Sweet Adelines and her entire life as a soloist in the church choirs. She was pillar of her church and community, did much charity work, always for the underdog, was of impeccable character and a perfect example of a life well spent, devoted all her days and loved by all who knew her.
