Blake was the 3rd person to die in a tragic boating accident.
He's eternally with his girlfriend Caitlyn Atchley,whom he loved dearly.
He worked in residential construction.
He loved to go fishing and camping.
He loved his animals,family and freinds.
He loved the outdoors .
He took one day at a time and lived his life to the fullest,
Left behind parents..siblings and many freinds and family to forever cherish his memory.
Caitlyn and Blake are jointed as one for all eternity.Blake Allen Eakins, 21, of Burlington and formerly of Ottumwa died Sunday, May 20, 2012, as a result of a boating accident on the Mississippi River.
Born September 7, 1990 in Ottumwa he was the son of Lee Allen Eakins and Tammy L. O'Leary Eakins.
Blake worked in residential construction. He enjoyed fishing and camping and loved being by the water and caring for his pets. Blake was a fun loving person who lived life to the fullest, living one day at a time. He loved his family and had many friends.
Survivors include his parents, Lee and Tammy Eakins, of Bloomfield; two brothers, Joshua Eakins of Burlington and Alex Collins of Texas; paternal grandparents, Kathryn Eakins and David Eakins, both of Ottumwa; maternal grandmother, Pam O'Leary of Ottumwa; paternal great grandmother, Lorraine Malone of Sheffield and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tom O'Leary.
Blake and Caitlyn will be eternally together by sharing their visitation and funeral service.
Blake and the love of his life, Caitlyn lived, laughed, loved and cried together. They will now join as one, and be together in peace.
