EVERETT M. PETTERSON DIES

Word has been received by relatives in Galena of the death of Everett M. Petterson of Milwaukee, Wis. Mr. Petterson was the husband of a former Galena girl, Marie Gleason, and his untimely death comes as a shock to the many relatives and friends.
The body of Everett M. Petterson arrived Monday evening from Milwaukee over the Northwestern at six o'clock and was taken to the home of Miss Jane Rooney until Tuesday morning, when services were held at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. A. S. McIsaac officiating. Burial was made in St. Michael's cemetery, the following acting as bearers: Phil Eberhardt, Edward Gunn, James McLaughlin, Harry Bastian, John Geiger, and Earl Cassidy.
Mr. Petterson was an employee of the Northwestern railway, was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 555 at South Bend, Woodmen at Mount Horeb. He passed away at his home 952 Allis Street, Milwaukee, after a long illness, probably resulting of being gassed in the World War.
