W. H. Adams, 72, native of Cordell and for many years a business man in Louisa and Ashland, died Sunday evening at his home at Beaver, OH, route 2, 4 days after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. A son of Isaac and Ellen Horn Adams, Mr. Adams was born at Cordell, this county, Jun 9, 1866. He was associated for a number of years with Dixon-Moore & Company wholesale grocers in Louisa and served for 7 years as vice-president of the company. Later he conducted a large department store here and for a time engaged in real estate transactions. In 1925, he moved to Ashland and was a real estate operator there for several years, moving to a farm in Ohio 7 years ago. Mr. Adams was a member of the Jake Rice Masonic Lodge of Blaine and had been a member of the Baptist Church for more than 30 years. During his residence in Louisa he served for a time as member of the city board of education. The body was brought to Louisa Sunday night in the Curtright funeral car and remained at the funeral home until time of the funeral Wednesday. Last rites were conducted Wednesday morning in the Louisa Baptist Church with serviced conducted by Rev. Olus Hamilton, of Mt. Sterling, former pastor here, and Rev. J. C.
