Mrs. Dorris was born Jan. 14, 1895 in Williamson County, the daughter of Wilson and Ida Gill Marks. She was a resident of Williamson County 55 years and a member of the First Church of God, West Frankfort.
She was married to Arlie W. Avery, who preceded her in death. She later was married to Troy Dorris, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alberta Mosley, of Taylorville: sons, Charles E. Avery cf West Frankfort and Joel E. Avery of Mt. Vernon; a stepson, Troy C. Dorris, Jr. of Stillwater, Okla.; stepdaughters, Mrs. Sybil Sybil Truitt of Monroe, La., and Mrs. Lucille Milton of Benton; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Eva Kelton and Mrs. Leona Mocaby, both of Marion; and a brother, Wilford Marks of Johnston City.
Funeral services were held at the Reedy Funeral Home, West Frankfort, with the Rev. Alvah Crim officiating.
